The team of WHG design is made up of talented individuals that have excelled in the sphere of interior design, kitchen design and renovation works. They have gathered together with one aim in mind:To provide honest, hardworking, premium service to all of its clients with regards to any type of interior designing and renovation works. We believe in producing interior works that are specially and uniquely for you. We endeavor to create interior spaces that match the design brief and making a unique statement at the same time.
DAVE WONG
OWNER & PRINCIPAL
David has more than 34 years of knowledge and experience working in kitchen design, interior design, construction and project management. His dedication and commitment for his clients enable him to fully be involved with every project from conception to completion.
Prior to starting WHG Design in 2008, David worked with some of the most locally successful and recognized names in the industry. David enjoyed the role in the design department developing architectural drawings for Earls. He also project managed the majority of restaurants in the 8 years with Earls Restaurants. He then spent 5 years with the Spectra Group of Great Restaurants, first as a Project Manager and then taking over the position of Director of Design and Construction. David also served as the Director of Design/Construction/Development for Joey Restaurants for 7 years where he helped to re-brand and open many of the new locations under the extremely successful new concept. The last 2 years with Joey Restaurants, he became Vice President of Design, managing a team opening restaurants across Canada and Washington.
YALDA ATRI
SENIOR DESIGNER
Yalda completed a Bachelor of Applied Design in Interior Design at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2008. Previously, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of British Columbia in 2003.Following the university and before joining WHG Design, Yalda amassed specialized experience through local design firms, focusing primarily on commercial design and hospitality projects both locally and nationally.
Her special 3D rendering and visualization skills give her the ability to assist her clients in understanding how different elements in a space can be made to fit perfectly. She has nine years of experience in the field for projects of all sizes and scope, she is highly involved in every stage beginning with conceptual development and space planning, sourcing materials through to specification documentation, and developing details and construction drawings.
With the diversity of projects and immense creativity of team members at WHG design, Yalda finds every project is a learning experience, which she believes is essential to continually delivering exceptional design solutions.
HANNAH CHENG
INTERMEDIATE DESIGNER
Grew up in Taiwan and Canada, Hannah is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. Her multicultural background provide an unique perspective for her work.
After graduating from B.C.I.T. with Diploma in Interior Design and Management Certificate in Interior Design, she has worked on varies type of design projects include hospitality, retail, office and residential. Her passion is in elevating interior spaces through design and art.
